Job Summary

As the Assistant Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of Sexy Fish Dubai. You will work closely with the VP of Operations and Restaurant General Manager to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting, and seamless compliance with local regulations. This role demands a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports, and budgets.
• Analyse financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor income, expenditures, and variances to ensure profitability targets are met.
• Prepare and oversee month-end and year-end closures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Implement and prepare cost control methods and reports
• Payroll Master Reports and Accruals

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Collaborate with departmental heads to prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Support financial modelling to evaluate business opportunities or cost-saving initiatives.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, tax codes, and internal policies.
• Assist in preparing for internal and external audits, addressing any identified gaps or discrepancies.

Cash Flow Management

• Monitor cash flow and ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
• Optimize working capital management, including accounts payable and receivable processes.

Team Collaboration & Development

• Support and mentor junior finance team members to build expertise and efficiency.
• Liaise with other departments to resolve financial queries and streamline processes.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CIMA, ACCA, or CPA qualifications preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within the hospitality or F&B industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and UAE-specific compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desirable

• Experience working in luxury or high-end hospitality settings.
• Familiarity with Micros Symphony.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
